[Jecht awakens fully dressed in a tuxedo on a red heart-shaped bed.  For some reason, he's holding a bouquet of red roses in his left hand.  He doesn't remember going to bed in a place like this, and he hasn't been drunk since that night he pitched a fit at the post office for taking Garnet's arm.  Sitting up and grumbling, he glances around the room, only to find he's not alone.]

"...All right, what the fuck.  Who the hell are you supposed to be?  This your idea of a joke?  'Cause it ain't funny."

[Conchita turns a bit with her glass - oh snap, the DEMON BOX is awake]

[she peers at it attentively.]

[she tilts her head in confusion, but suddenly recalls an incident and straightens]

Oh, please don't misunderstand. I do own one, but it's really the most peculiar thing. The little devils inside can speak, but they honestly don't know how to listen at all. I wouldn't waste your time with them.

[Keeps flipping through channels.]

"Unless you got a better idea, this is about all we've got."

[she decides to watch anyway though. He's got a point. Drinking's not really as entertaining as eating, yet.]

[Glances over at the mini-bar, but makes no moves to actually go over there.]

[she's nearly done with the wine anyway. May as well.

So Conchita goes over and opens up the minibar. There's a TON of drinks]

Good heavens. Quite the selection we have, Jecht.

[she looks over at him] Still thirsty, are we?

"...Anything that's not booze?"

[Leans over to look.]

[she fishes around in the cupboard. Besides the booze, she just finds club soda and grenadine.]

[Stands up and walks on over at last.]

"What's that stuff?"

Why, I'm not too certain what this is... [she hands up the grenadine for him to see]

But this bottle [the club soda that is] must be that "sodapop" the children enjoy.

[setting it down, she moves some more things around and discovers some chocolate sauce. Wow they really get creative with the drink ingredients here... or maybe it's for other uses]

I found chocolate!

"Guess I'll try the red stuff."

[Grabs up the grenadine and starts drinking straight out of the bottle.]

"...Hm. Cherry. Not bad. Little thick, though."

Too thick... that's no good.

[she ponders. What would her chef do? She lifts the soda bottle.]

What if you were to mix it with this soda? It appears to be light and bubbly.

"Sure, let's try that. Might be good."

[Pours about half a glass full of grenadine.]

[she pours the soda in equal part with the grenadine, and deciding she wants to try it as well, fixes up a glass for herself, too]

Oh! This is quite sweet and delicious. It seems my experiences are coming in handy.

[she giggles again. This is kind of fun for her! With how nice the food and drink is, it hasn't crossed her mind too many times to try to eat Jecht.]

The Russian town assigned me as a drink creator, for whatever reason. I did a lot of experimenting that week.

Heh. Guess it paid off. Ain't very often somethin' this town does actually turns out to be useful.

[upon finishing her soda, she goes back to looking at bottles. "... Sake?" That seems rare! This bar really is EXTREMELY well stocked. She's intrigued]

Not that I have any gratitude to those fools. They stole me away from a very rich life.

[pouring herself some sake now. Drinking it wrong but whatever, she's no chef.]

My. I don't wish to complain, but yes, the common lifestyle is a most tiresome experience.

[she's enjoying the sake even though it's not at an ideal temperature and keeps drinking it]

It's awful. Their idea of a pet for me is a giant, talking rodent... such vermin would never make it into my prized menagerie. It tries to be so friendly too. Disgusting.
