[Jecht awakens fully dressed in a tuxedo on a red heart-shaped bed.  For some reason, he's holding a bouquet of red roses in his left hand.  He doesn't remember going to bed in a place like this, and he hasn't been drunk since that night he pitched a fit at the post office for taking Garnet's arm.  Sitting up and grumbling, he glances around the room, only to find he's not alone.]

"...All right, what the fuck.  Who the hell are you supposed to be?  This your idea of a joke?  'Cause it ain't funny."

[Conchita was similarly confused, although at first glance it wasn't AWFUL. This tight dress actually flattered her still regrettably tiny breasts - damn that Justice, couldn't he hurry up? - and that food smelled great. Possibly the most legitimate meal she'd seen since arriving at Mayfield. She'd already settled herself at the table, when the gruff voice spoke. Oh right. There was a ruffian here. She turned to stare displeasingly.]

My, what an abhorrent way to speak to a lady. I assure you, the joke is on me in this case.

[Grumbles, tossing the roses in the garbage can before heading over to join this random mystery woman at the table.]

"...Whatever. 'Least the food looks good."

[she sighs at that. Conchita actually likes roses but like Jecht, she has her priorities straight]

Well, feel free to join me then. We may not truly be involved in an affair, but this part of it should be enjoyable.

[Jecht sits down roughly - no manners at all with this one, seriously - and stares suspiciously down at the food.]

"...You tried it yet? It's not poisoned or some shit?"

Certainly not. That would be most unromantic, as well.

[although since Conchita is basically immune to poisons, this is an automatic response. It would only benefit her if Jecht's food happened to be poisoned. Anyway she is already eating it if he wants to stare at her and check.]

[And stare he does, for just long enough to determine that she isn't going to keel over and die. Then he shrugs his shoulders, picks up a knife and a fork, and digs in on his own plate.]

"...Hm. Not bad."

Indeed, I find the meal quite superior to the restaurants in town. They're so common. My, they should all be ashamed.

[Shrugs, taking another bite and talking with food in his mouth.]

"Wouldn't know. Never been to any of 'em except that burger place."

[Conchita gives him a sour look at first, before turning her head away]

[Grunts, waving his fork-hand in the air dismissively. He does chew and swallow before talking again, though.]

"What? It's no big deal. Don't be so uptight."

[she has another drink. She might need it. However he did listen despite her complaints, so she decides to change the subject]

[She goes back to eating, assuming he was only willing to give his family name. After all, who only had a first name? That woulld be ridiculous.]

[ She's dubious of his shit-eating grin, so she smiles back and then promptly returns to her meal. ]

[So they eat in silence. Once the meal is done, Conchita turns to the bottle. The mini-bar should allow her to continue her gustatory pleasure!!]

[Conchita turns a bit with her glass - oh snap, the DEMON BOX is awake]

[she peers at it attentively.]

[she tilts her head in confusion, but suddenly recalls an incident and straightens]

Oh, please don't misunderstand. I do own one, but it's really the most peculiar thing. The little devils inside can speak, but they honestly don't know how to listen at all. I wouldn't waste your time with them.
